Chinese giant Xiaomi is all set to 'Make in India' within less than 18 months

India, which is growing fast and gaining attention globally with its "Make in India" program is favorite for the companies looking for investment and growing their business.
Currently in India smartphone sector is dominated by Samsung Electronics and Micromax which is locally famous and gaining grips on this market.
Now, Xiaomi is eyeing to enter and gain from this market too. The company would now begin its local production soon within less then 18 months in India.

Competition for No.1 spot
Xiaomi is at No.5 largest phone company for India market at present, which is gained within the span of less then one year. And have become one of the popular smartphones in India.
Their current concentration will be on speaking to State Governments and local partners to set up the manufacturing units and service centers here in India. Once they get the location and start the initial productions Xiaomi has more plans in future.
Export Xiaomi Made in India smartphones
"The fundamental point is we want to build deeply rooted Indian products because this is a hugely important market for us and there is nothing more powerful than being a local business," he said, adding that India could also serve as an export hub."We are looking at (serving) the domestic market to start with but as we expand into other markets, particularly other markets in south Asia, it could make sense to export," he said.
