Now you can transfer your Railway Tickets to others

Ever wondered if you could transfer your Rail ticket due to some last minute change in the plan
to some of alternate member of your family? Yes.. this is possible now. +IndianRailways have come up with provision for this.

Booking for a confirmed Railway Ticket that too for a group needs hell lot of planning and coordination. As we all know there will be huge W/L (waiting list) if we do not plan well ahead of our journey. And it happens most of the time so that, there will be change of plan with some of the member last moment. Resulting Partial Cancellation of the Railway Ticket.

If its a family trip, I am sure you will find some or the other member willing to join in at later stage. But the problem here will be the newly booked tickets will get berth in different bogie/coach. +Traveling is no fun this way right?

Transfer Railway Ticket to family members

According to new provision made by Indian Railways now you can do such change or transfer of your rail tickets. To avoid loop holes in this new feature, they have added some limitations. If you wish to transfer the ticket you need to make a request in writing 24 hours before the scheduled departure of trains.

You can transfer your tickets to any family member, that is Father, Mother, Brother, Sister, Son, Daughter, Husband and Wife.
